Across your area, an individual impersonating a funeral home employee is contacting families and demanding payment over the phone. Please know that we will never call you and ask for payment over the phone. Do not give the caller your information or money! Hang up and call the police. And if you're ever unsure about anything to do with your loved one, please call the funeral home and speak with your funeral director.

Sarah Ellen Wolfe Thayer, age 83, beloved wife of the late Vincent Earl Thayer, died on Monday, January 15, 2024, at home with her family by her side.
Born in Athens, OH, she was the daughter of the late Stanley Lee Wolfe and Mary Elizabeth Rose Wolfe. Sarah was raised in Ashtabula, Ohio and resided in Stuart, Florida for many years. In September 2023 she moved to Sumter, SC to be closer to her family. Sarah’s family was her whole world and she enjoyed spending time with them more than anything. She also loved to bless others with random acts of kindness, and she had an infectious laugh that would make anyone smile. Sarah was able to find beauty in each day and was a constant reminder that each day is a gift! She was fortunate to find a vocation that she loved and worked as a seamstress for many years.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughter, Natalie J. Miller, and her husband Christopher; her son Kevin D. Thayer, her long-term companion, Richard Weese; two grandchildren, Arron M. Cole and Angela M. Cole, two great grandchildren, Addison N. Shanks, and Caleb J. Cole; two sisters, Marianne Cannon, and Libby Fryer; nieces and nephews; many dear friends and her precious dog Kobe.
A celebration of life will be held on a date in the future.
