Sara Margaret Ward, age 79, beloved wife of James Michael Ward, died on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at her residence.
Born in Broxton, GA, she was the daughter of the late Roy Fredrick Sikes and Margaret Burke Stone Sikes. A strong woman of faith, Sara was a faithful member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was hard working and dedicated in all that she did whether it was working her job as a quality control tech at Bosch Corporation or volunteering at her church. She was one of the most loving and compassionate people that you would ever know and would always help anyone in need. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her husband James, surviving to cherish her memory are a son, Whitney Ray (Deidre) of Summerville, SC; a daughter, Georgia Ray Bailey of Bennettsville, SC; two grandchildren, Bonnie Bailey (Kaye) and Sean Ray and several nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Billie Carol Burney.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at 11:00 am in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with Bishop Chris Brown presiding.
