Shirley Mary (Doucette) Viens

Sumter, SC…Shirley Mary “Frenchy” Doucette Viens, age 85, Sunrise May 28, 1936 and Sunset October 10, 2021.

Born in Stockholm, ME, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Joseph Doucette and Mary Shirley Desrosiere Doucette. She was a homemaker who always loved and cared for her family. In addition, she loved all things, Elvis. Mrs. Viens was a member of St. James Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years, Lionel Adelard Viens; one son, Robert Krantz and his wife Debbie of Escanaba, MI; four daughters, Kathy Schaefer and her husband Larry of Winter Haven, FL, Teresa Marshall and her husband Jerry of Sumter, SC, Juanita Viens of Appleton, WI and Mary Anne Perkins of Bangor, ME; an adopted daughter, DeeDee Ellis and her husband Dale of Sanford, NC; six grandchildren, Angela and Bobby Krantz, Elizabeth Mansfield and her husband Allan, Kevin Lee and his wife Caitlin, Brian Lee and his wife Jennie, and Phillip Marshall and his wife Merissa of Long Beach, MS; and six great grandchildren, Elliana and Mason Lee, Beckett Lee, Kaitlyn and Zander Mansfield, and Thea Marshall.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021, at 2:00 pm in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Keith Getz officiating.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 22, 2021, one hour prior to the service, from 1:00-2:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.
