Sumter, SC…………… Teri Lou Engvall Miller, age 77, beloved wife of 56 ½ years to Ronald Lynn Miller, died on Friday, August 8th, 2025, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.
Mrs. Miller was born in Robbinsdale, MN, a daughter of the late Earl Engvall and Marjorie Zopfi Engvall. Teri and her husband moved to Sumter in 1997. She spent the latter part of her working career at Phibro Tech and later retired from their spinoff company, Analytical and Regulatory Chemistry in 2014. Teri was actively involved in the Kairos Prison Ministry for over 20 years; she loved southern gospel music and traveling. She spent her last weeks on a cruise to Greenland with her husband, enjoying whale watching.
Surviving in addition to her husband are: Three sons, Perrin Miller and his wife Kyomi of Japan, Col. Daniel Miller and his wife Shay of Germany, and Brandon Miller and his wife Robyn of Fort Mill, SC; Two brothers, Dennis Engvall of Topeka, IL, and Charles Engvall and his wife Marcia of Elk River, MN; and five grandchildren, Lion, Elsa, Evelyn, Clark and Wesley.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister-in-law, Kitty Engvall.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 15th, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at the Sumter First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Greg Pressley and Chaplain Edward McKnight officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service from 2:30-3:00 pm.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 14th, 2025, from 6-8 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.
