Across your area, an individual impersonating a funeral home employee is contacting families and demanding payment over the phone. Please know that we will never call you and ask for payment over the phone. Do not give the caller your information or money! Hang up and call the police. And if you're ever unsure about anything to do with your loved one, please call the funeral home and speak with your funeral director.

Truman Hall Duggin, 72, of Sumter, SC, entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior after a courageous battle with glioblastoma.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Debbie Duggin; his two children, David Duggin (Eve) of Lubbock, TX, and Carolyn Bryan (Rob) of Sumter, SC; and two beloved grandchildren, Allen Duggin (Logan) of Florence, SC, and Morgan Duggin of Sumter, SC. He was also a proud “Gooddaddy” to his granddaughters Lexie Bryan and Alyssa Bryan of Sumter, SC, and a loving great-granddaddy to Oaklynn Racey and Colter Clark.
Truman is also survived by his sister, Nita Brewer of Murfreesboro, TN; one niece; one great-niece; one great-nephew; and one great great-niece, all of Murfreesboro, TN.
Truman was known as a man of God, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and to many, “the man, the myth, the legend.”
He faithfully served his country for 20 years in the United States Air Force, retiring with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant after serving in both the Vietnam and Gulf Wars. Following his military career, he dedicated more than 20 years to the City of Sumter Police Department, where he rose from patrol officer to Lieutenant and head of the Forensics Division. In every role he held, Truman was known for his dedication, leadership, and commitment to excellence.
A faithful member of Lakewood Baptist Church, Truman served as a deacon and helped teach adult Sunday School. His love for the Lord was evident in the way he lived his life and served others.
Outside of his service, Truman had a passion for woodworking and loved the freedom of the open road on his Harley, riding across the country.
Even after his diagnosis with glioblastoma, Truman never stopped living life to the fullest. His unwavering faith in Jesus Christ never faltered, and he chose to walk each day with strength, joy, and gratitude.
He will be remembered as a man of faith, integrity, and love—a true example of a life well-lived.
