Columbia, SC …. Vicki Paulette Shuford Warner, 80, of Columbia, South Carolina, passed away on June 9, 2024, at Prisma Richland Hospital.
Vicki was born in Pineville Louisiana to Paul Victor and Mary Hulette Shuford on May 26, 1944. She married Jan Lynn Warner on June 28, 1975, in Sumter, South Carolina. She attended Louisiana State University and was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority where she was President. She managed Jan’s law firm for over 30 years.
Vicki was kind and selfless, always placing the needs of others above her own. Her life was a testament to the love and compassion she generously shared with everyone she encountered. A devout Christian, Vicki had a profound understanding of Biblical history. Her faith was the cornerstone of her existence, guiding her actions and providing comfort to those around her. She was a lifelong learner with a particular passion for history, UFOs, and anatomy. An ardent fan of Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints, Vicki's love for football was a significant part of her life. Her legacy of unwavering faith and boundless generosity will forever be cherished by all who were blessed to know her.
Vicki was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jan Warner, and granddaughter Mary Elizabeth Manville, and survived by her five children Paul Manville (Mary Catherine,) Monty Warner, Mark Manville, Brandon Whitehead (Bradley), and Carrie Warner (India); three brothers, Keith “Kip” Shuford (Sandra), Preston Shuford (Deanna), and Gary Shuford (Pamela); a sister, Judy Rogers (John); brother-in-law Ed Warner (Marilyn) and sister- in-law Bonnie Kass (Sid); and one granddaughter, Annabelle Manville.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, at her church, Trinity United Methodist Church in Blythewood, South Carolina. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Scott Smoak officiating.
