Vivian Ann Jones Quick

Sumter, SC……………… Vivian Ann Jones Quick, age 54, died on Tuesday, October 31st, 2023.

Losing a parent is one of the deepest sorrows a heart can endure, the world lost an astonishing woman!! Vivian was an amazing mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was always there when anyone needed her. She was so full of life and treated no one as a stranger! She had a smile that was contagious and will be greatly missed by many friends and family. To say she was strong is an understatement. When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed being on the water, fishing, going to the mountains, and spending time with her family and friends. Vivian also loved FOOTBALL! She was a huge Carolina Gamecocks and Green Bay Packers fan. Most importantly though, Arron Rodgers! We can’t leave that out or we’ll never hear the end of it when we see her again. There are no words that can describe the love she showed so many and the love everyone had for her.

Vivian was born in Franklin, OH, a daughter of Mary Frances Jones and the late James Arnold Jones. Survivors in addition to her mother are: Two daughters, Courtney Marie Quick and Angela Christine Quick, both of Sumter; Three sisters, Melody Jones of Sumter, SC, Melissa Pyke and her husband Robert of Atlanta, GA, and Donna Mitchum and her husband Robert of Sumter, SC; and four grandchildren, Brooklyn Marie Kalkhof, Brenda Mya Kalkhof, Bailey Michelle Kalkhof, and Bentley Chase Kalkhof.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Arnold Jones, her biological father, Charles “Chuck” Edward Rader, and two brothers, Gregory Alan Jones and George Avins.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, November 5th, 2023 at the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Sammy Geddings officiating. Burial will follow at the Wells Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 3-5pm, Saturday, November 4th, 2023 at Bullock Funeral Home.
