Sumter, S. C……….Wesley “Buck” Washington, son of the late James Washington and Louise Richardson Washington; Buck as he was affectionately called was born September 18, 1959, in Sumter County and departed this life on Saturday June 29, 2024, at his home.
He was educated in the public schools of Washington D.C. He attended Springfield Batist Church in Washington. After returning to Sumter, he joined Trinity Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Larry C. Weston. His work career included carpentry and food service.
He will be sadly missed by his mother, Louise R. Washington, his brother James Washington Jr, two aunts, one uncle, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at 1:00 pm in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday, June 7, 2024, from 12:00–1:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.
