Wedgefield, SC…… William David “Bil” McCracken III, age 53, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 3, 2024.
Born in Sumter, SC, Bil was the beloved son of William David McCracken II and Jacqueline Ann Stokes Mandeville. A consummate professional, Bil was the former owner of Lilfred’s Fine Dining in Rembert, SC and most recently worked at the Mill Pond Steakhouse in Boykin, SC. He had a deep love for the outdoors, particularly enjoying hunting and fishing. His passion and enthusiasm was searching for Indian artifacts. An avid fan of the South Carolina Gamecocks, Bil’s love for animals and people was evident in the many friends he had throughout his life. Bil’s warm heart and generous spirit were a testament to his Methodist faith. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Bil is survived by his father and stepmother, David McCracken and Lois Hilton McCracken, as well as his mother, Jan Mandeville. He is also remembered fondly by his two loyal Labrador Retrievers, Clovis and McCray.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at 3:00 pm in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Devon Ruth officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday, June 9, 2024, from 2:00-3:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.
