Sumter, SC ……. Angel Smith Clemons, age 38, beloved wife of Steven Levon Clemons, died on Monday, September 23, 2019 at the McLeod Hospice House.
Born in Sumter, she was the daughter of Barbara Rhodes Smith Phillips and the late Charles J. Smith. Angel was always a good friend willing to do anything for others. She loved to go fishing, camping and the mountains, she took a trip every year to Gatlinburg. She was a volunteer for many years with the Girl Scouts. Angel will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and daughter. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Surviving in addition to her husband Steven and mother Barbara are: five children, Zachery Clemons, Sara Clemons, Lizzie Clemons, Ashley Clemons and Bridget Clemons all of Sumter; one brother, Brian James Smith of PA; two sisters, Linda Watts of Turbeville and Tina Baker of Sumter and four grandchildren, Mitch, Paisley, Callie and Colton.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 2:00pm at the Wise Drive Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Sammy Geddings officiating.
