Sumter, SC…….. Arlyn Simmons Parker McNaney, age 87, died on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Covenant Place.
Ms. McNaney was born in Morrisville, VT, a daughter of the late Clifton G. Parker and Florence Simmons Parker. She had a Masters Degree in organ performance and owned her own music studio teaching students piano, organ and voice lessons. She was an entrepreneur throughout her life. Arlyn’s passion in life was raising her children.
Survivors are: Two sons, Jim McNaney and his wife Lisa of Livermore, CA, and Bryan McNaney and his wife Jennifer of Farmington, ME; Two daughters, Debbie Estes of Ft. Mill, SC, and Dr. Caryn West of Sumter, SC; One sister, Charlotte Parker; Five grandchildren, Michael Estes, Steven Estes, Lizzy Viera, Emma McNaney, and Kylie Stambaugh; and Three great-grandchildren, Conner Estes, Mason Estes and Chandler Wingard.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Thaddeus Stambaugh, two brothers, Robert Parker and Bill Parker, and two sisters, Dee Parker and Carolyn Parker.
Services will be private.
