Cape Coral, FL …. Eric Stephen Desautel, age 30, beloved son of Elizabeth Demetriou Costello and Robert Costello, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022, in Cape Coral, FL.
He was born on August 14, 1992, in Sumter, SC, where he resided before moving to Cape Coral, FL in 2019. Eric was a 2010 honors graduate of Sumter High School where he was a member of the tennis team. He graduated from the University of South Carolina, Darla Moore School of Business in 2014 with bachelor’s degrees in finance and real estate. A highlight of his college years was spending a semester studying abroad in Paris, France. He loved sports cars, using technology, investing in the stock market, Greek food and his dog Domino and cat Barry.
Surviving in addition to his parents are an uncle, George Demetriou of Westford, MA; grandmother, Barbara Webb (Bill) of FL; three siblings, Brian Costello (Lynda) of Boston, MA, Heather Dowless (Jim) of Soledad, CA, and LaShondra Powell of Frisco, TX; an aunt, Susan Stoeckel (Mark); and Cousins, Jean-Phillipe Cordina and Nicolas Cordina, all of RI, and Andrea Reed and Mary Maybury both of NH.
Eric was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Stephen Demetriou and Stella Demetriou; special aunts, Doris Desautel and Sharon Desautel and his biological father, Stephen Desautel.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023, from 4:00-6:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.
A burial will be held at a later date in Lowell, MA.
Memorials may be made in memory of Eric Desautel to a charity of one’s choice.
