Dalzell, SC…. Henry Clifford Strange, age 76, beloved husband of 25 years to the late Jacqueline Duvall Strange, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 30, 2024.
Born in Sumter, SC, he was the son of the late Harmon Cuttino Strange and Betty Mitchell Strange. After high school, Henry went on to college where he received an associate’s degree. He then entered the US Navy where he served as a co-pilot from which he survived his plane being shot down over Vietnam. Henry was highly decorated for his service and received many medals including a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. He enjoyed bird watching, playing golf as well as watching college football and the Atlanta Braves. His favorite place was his home on the lake where he loved the outdoors and all the wildlife spending time with his niece and nephew.
He is survived by a son and a daughter; two nephews, Cory Henderson and his wife Rachael and Tommy Brown; a brother-in-law, Michael Kelly; a special great nephew Michael Henderson and wife Jessica; a special great niece Courtney Henderson and numerous other great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Strange Russell and a brother and sister-in-law, Carol Watford and Lois Watford.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
