Katherine Louise Brown

Katherine Louise Brown, 68, of Sumter, South Carolina died Thursday, May 10, 2018 surrounded by family.

Born March 11, 1950 in Lee County, South Carolina she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mary Caughman.

Preceding Katherine in death are also two grandchildren, Nichole and David Sanchez.

Kathy graduated Edmunds High School in 1969. She spent her younger years as a beautician, then a stay at home Mom. She is remembered for her cooking, sewing, having fun and taking her kids on all kinds of adventures.

Surviving are: daughters Cher Sanchez, Jennifer Magrone and husband Joseph. 6 siblings, John (Ray) Caughman, Charles and wife Deborah Caughman, Janet Smith, James Caughman, Sarah Osborne and Ruby Kucera; 3 grandkids, Matthew, Grace, and Faith Sanchez; 12 nieces and nephews; 16 great nieces and nephews.

She enjoyed spending time with family and making people laugh. Some of Kathy’s favorite things were fried chicken, ice cream, diet cokes, make-up and perfume.

A visitation and memorial service will be held Monday, May 14, 2018 beginning at 10:00 A.M at Bullock Funeral Home in Sumter, South Carolina. A burial service will follow at Sumter Cemetery.
