Across your area, an individual impersonating a funeral home employee is contacting families and demanding payment over the phone. Please know that we will never call you and ask for payment over the phone. Do not give the caller your information or money! Hang up and call the police. And if you're ever unsure about anything to do with your loved one, please call the funeral home and speak with your funeral director.

Lana was an only child and was pre-deceased by her parents: Sallie Lee (Stokes) Abrahamsen and Henry Charles Abrahamsen. The family previously lived in New York, New Orleans, and Los Angeles.
Lana attended North Senior High School in Binghamton, NY. Lana’s parents loved her very much- protected and shielded her. They provided for her well-being throughout her lifetime.
Lana loved drawing and painting. At some time in her life, she restored paintings. She had a great talent for colors.
Lana and her friend, Donna, volunteered at the local Thrift Store on Broad Street in Sumter, SC, for many years. They also shared the fun of garage sales for many years. Lana also loved her little dog-Angel.
The family of Lanan Jo Abrahamsen (cousins), will host a Celebration of Life for her at Concord Community Bible Church, located at 354 Old Camden Road-Bishopville, SC at 10:30 am on January 31, 2026.
We thank her many friends and neighbors for caring for her the last years- cutting her grass and keeping her yard looking nice, checking on her, taking her to Chick-fil-A (her favorite food of all time), and visiting with her when time permitted.
We thank everyone at McLeod Hospice House for their love and care of Lana during her last days. Memorial gifts can be sent to:

Lana will be missed by many: she had a really good laugh, and her smile was rare but worth the wait. She loved chocolate, anything.
The family regrets that the celebration of life has been moved due to a possibility of inclimate weather. The service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 10:30 am at Concord Community Bible Church.
