Michael David Brooks

Sumter, SC ……………………. Michael David Brooks, age 59, beloved husband of 39 years to Sherry Lee Brooks, died on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at his home.

Mr. Brooks was born in Myrtle Beach, SC, a son of Linda Morrow Smith and the late Myles Edgar Brooks. He served in the US Air Force, retiring after 21 ½ years and attended Crosspoint Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are: One son, Michael Andrew Brooks and his wife Chelsea of Sumter, SC; Two daughters, Andrea Tenneal Metz and her husband Anthony of Sumter, SC and Heather Sprott and her husband Richard of Italy; One brother, Myles Edgar Brooks, Jr and his wife Shelley of Moyock, NC; One sister, Pamela Rabon and her husband Charlie of Myrtle Beach, SC; and 7 grandchildren, Emily, Daniel, Hunter, Jaxson, Benny, Oliver and Ethan.

He was preceded in death by his father and step father, Carl Mendle Smith.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00pm, Thursday, August 17th, 2023 at Bullock Funeral Home.
