Michele DeLeon Moses of Sumter, SC, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2026, at the age of 57.
She was born on June 28, 1968, to Bonnie Rosen Moses and Perry Moses III. Michele graduated from Wilson Hall in 1986 and earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Psychology from Agnes Scott College and Occupational Hand Therapy from MUSC. Michele enjoyed careers in Occupational Hand Therapy, Human Resources at Kaydon, and as Assistant to the Director at Sumter Behavioral Health.
Michele had a love for dogs and their companionship. She enjoyed participating in dog shows and her Papillon, Vizsla, Italian Greyhound, and rescue Beagle. Michele was always a kind, caring soul that her friends and family cherished.
She is survived by her parents, brother Perry “Bubba” Moses IV (Tisha), and her niece Nancy “Ally”son Moses.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 26th, from 1:00 – 2:00 pm, at St. James Lutheran Church in Sumter.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at 2:00 pm at St. James Lutheran Church. A private family interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
