Patty Helms Truett

Patty Helms Truett, 65, of Sumter, died, Friday, November 20, 2020. Born February 7, 1955, in Sumter, she was a daughter of Billy Edward Helms, Sr.  and the late Virginia Rodgers Helms. Patty retired from SC Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Serices after 38 years of service. She attended Alice Drive Baptist Church. She was a loving wife and mother, and adored her granddaughter. 

In addition to her father, Patty is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Michael Oneal Truett; daughter, Judy Lynn Truett; granddaughter, Aubrey Lynn Rogers; brother, Billy E. (Karin) Helms, Jr., and sister, Joye Lynn (Mike) Barrs, all of Sumter; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Helms.
