Sue Ellen Shultz

Sumter, SC….. Sue Ellen Shultz, age 81, beloved wife of 59 years to Edward L. Shultz, died on November 27, 2023at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.

Born in Salem, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Hunter Ernst and Lucille Stoffer Ernst. Mrs. Shultz earned her bachelor’s degree in education from Ashland University. She was a program manager for Central Carolina Technical College for over 20 years. She was an avid bridge player. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend; she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Surviving in addition to her husband Edward are, two sons; Tylan Shultz of GA and Tedman Shultz and his wife Rebecca of Greenville, SC; one brother, Keith R. Ernst of Ohio and one sister, Mary Lou Pusateri of Ohio along with four grandchildren, Elizabeth H. Shultz, Meghan H. Shultz, Grace E. Shultz, and Erin W. Shultz.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bruce A. Ernst.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at 2:00 pm in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Brearley officiating.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1-2 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.
