Sumter, SC …… William Frank, Jr. (Billy), age 91, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family.
Born in NC on February 24, 1933, he was the son of the late William Frank and Lillian Schroder Frank. Billy Enlisted in the US Navy and served from 1952-1956. After his separation from the Navy, Billy went to work for Carolina Coke Cola, retiring after 35 years of service. He will be remembered as a very loving father, grandfather, uncle and friend.
He is survived by his two daughters, Charlene Frank Hunnicutt (Jack), and
Cheryl Frank Knight (Steve); the mother of his children, Martha Frank; five Grandchildren, Stephanie Disher (Joe), Ryan Evans (Morgan), Travis Knight (Becky), Kyle Hunnicutt (Amanda), and Misty Hunnicutt; thirteen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Danny Frank; five sisters, Val Floyd, Marion Formyduval, Irene Irick, Muriel Tootie George, and Shirley Russell; a brother, Carol Frank, and a nephew, Dickie Potter.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at 2:00 pm in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Buddy Amerson officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be, Drake Brown, Drew Brown, Ryan Evans, Aiden Hunnicutt, Kyle Hunnicutt, and Travis Knight. Honorary pallbearers will be Dalton Brown, Carter Evans, Noah Flynn, Houston Hunnicutt, and Nathan Knight.
